I am currently the Information Technology Director (IT Director) for WWWEnterprise, Inc. We are an Internet Retail / eCommerce company, specializing in skin care / health & beauty products. We also develop, maintain, and "plug in" our shopping engine to Physician-based and Manufacturer websites to enable e-commerce across a large vertical market. Primary targets include Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, Salons & Spas, Estheticians (Aestheticians), and most recently, direct-to-consumer for Product Manufacturers / Brands.

My Most Important Accomplishments with WWWEnterprise, Inc.:

  • Designed and implemented internal "Business Intelligence Tools" (BITs v3.0) for the purpose of; reporting and analyzing sales data, forecasting sales trends, keeping customer data up-to-date, synchronizing product and brand data, and several tools designed to increase overall productivity and business knowledge.
  • Designed and implemented the "My Skin Rewards" program. A "cash-back" program where customers can receive rewards from purchasing products, contests, refunds/returns, etc.
  • Moved hosting from outsourced 3rd party, and re-built the entire infrastructure from the ground up with all new hardware (web, database, dns, email) with redundant systems in NY and FL.
  • Improved customer retention, designed Customer Relationship System (CRS v1.0). A series of tools that automate customer correspondence, such as improved order receipts with up-sell sections, 30 day follow-up email, 60 day follow-up email, abandoned cart email, happy birthday emails, etc.
  • Increased email/newsletter ordering conversion rate by 40%
  • Increased overall sales by 55% in 2010

  • Increased the number of product reviews from 20/month to 350/month, and generally increased the overall customer interaction and on-site time.
  • Developed Partner Control Panel. Partners can build dynamic banners/widgets, download custom copy-n-paste code for banners or product details, edit their website in real-time using our custom-built Content Management System (CMS). The goal was to make it as easy as possible to display our products on external websites.
  • Implemented AJAX functions wherever possible to improve the customer / user experience. For example: "add to cart" without refreshing the page, real-time search suggestions, real-time error checking on order checkout screens.

My primary job duties / responsibilities / skills include:

Business Development:

Determine and execute overall technology (and business) goals of the company, design and develop set of tools for business intelligence & better decision making, manage vendor/service provider relationships, design and develop client control panels, increase online sales and grow the business, as well as manage relationship between partnering Physicians

Marketing Coordination:

Develop email-marketing campaigns, promotions, design package inserts, design advertising banners, manage the customer interaction with system, manage affiliate program, and customer "rewards" programs. Manage data feeds and products with 3rd party shopping engines such as BizRate / ShopZilla, Pronto, NextTag, Shopping.com, Google Adwords, Bing Products, Smarter.com, and SortPrice

Website / Internet Software Development:

Maintain shopping engine built in Classic ASP & AJAX, manage static websites, manage set of features on ~1300 active websites & build new features to upgrade / enhance shopping engine and overall shopping experience for the customers.

Database Management and Administration:

Manage three (3) Microsoft SQL Server 2008 servers including: storage, database integrity, synchronizing data from internal databases, backups, writing SSIS packages to manage server & data, coordinate data feeds with 3rd party vendors, and extracting data for reporting purposes

Network Design and Maintenance:

Manage the hardware, software, security, and maintenance of Windows 2003 web servers, MS SQL Servers, DNS Servers, Email / remote backup Server, internal development / testing & staging server

Project Management:

Manage IT team; Web Designer / Developer, Graphic Designer / Photographer. Develop project requirements and outline. Keep IT staff focused and on-task with tight deadlines

Phone System Management:

Manage Allworx phone system, ACD, and CTX voice mail system consisting of; phone system server, management workstation, powered switches, and handsets. Monitor performance and backups, as well as our browser-based real-time call monitoring and the ability to record phone calls for training purposes

Desktop Support:

Purchase and install software/hardware (combination of Windows & Macintosh servers & desktops), install software / OS updates & patches, Internet & machine-to-machine connectivity and security

Internet Engineer:

Manage ~2200 domain names with registrar, manage name servers / DNS entries, IP address management, setup new websites in IIS, manage SSL certificates, PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance and "hacker-proof" auditing, manage email server reputation / feedback loops
